Exactly what your signal chain needs. Nothing it doesn't.
Each Helweg Design custom pedalboard patchbay is handcrafted, tested, and hand-numbered by pedalboard builder Michael Helweg in Nashville, Tennessee.
With more than a decade of experience planning, testing, and troubleshooting signal chains now under his belt, Michael works with each client personally to achieve their stage and studio signal routing goals by creating customized junction box configurations.
We use diagrams to help develop and visualize a streamlined signal path for your unique instruments, effects pedal collection, amplfiers, and recording gear.
With this foundation, we can identify places where a pedal patchbay(s) can serve as an easy-access point to make off-board cable connections for quick rig set-up and tear-down. We can also add switches in locations that once required clunky cable changes.
The basics include 1/4" mono and stereo jack connections as well as XLR, MIDI, and USB.
We offer a wide variety of passive signal routing via "normalled" jacks or toggle switches, including custom wiring to achieve special routing requests.
Additionally, we can add helpful features such as AnalogMan buffer circuits, loop switches, LED indicators, and more to any junction box patchbay.
We (compulsively) seek out and use the finest electronic components available.
If you look inside a Helweg patchbay, you will find parts stamped with names like "Switchcraft," "Neutrik," and "Hammond."
Our enclosures can be professionally labeled on request.
Pedalboard patchbays are serial numbered and archived for product support.
Units with switching functions include printed and digital instructions.
Our patchbays come with a 3-year warranty.
We are an authorized Lehle dealer and love to incorporate their excellent D-Loop, Dual, P-Split, and other routing units into our pedalboard signal chains.
We are also happy to start with your favorite third-party gear and use our custom patch and switching designs to fill in the gaps to complete your pedalboard setup.
Include info about your effects pedal and instrument signal chain, application, and what you are hoping to achieve with a custom patchbay box. Be as detailed as you can and don't hesitate with any questions you might have.
Michael will review your info and get back to you within a couple business days.
